If you go into the waaay back machine, my fitness journey really began in high school. I rowed on the crew team through college. I gained a lot of calluses and a love of the sport and the camraderie. After college I would pick up a program for a little while from power 90, to country line dancing videos, to Tony Little, to swing dancing. My fitness fluctuated through all those years from being in great shape to slipping and gaining 20-30 pounds. I got to the point where I didn't want to walk 2-3 blocks because it was 'too far'.

And then a good friend of mine in fairly decent shape passed away suddenly. That winter break while I was reorganizing my office I kept hearing ads for Team in Training. I decided to bite the bullet and sign up for a half marathon. While talking to other people training with me I was convinced to try for the full marathon instead of the half. I completed my goal, and decided to keep at it by signing up for various half marathons and shorter races.
I had decided to train more consistently when my knee stopped cooperating. After my knee surgery I fell into a period of inactivity which breally affected my fitness, flexibility, and strength all waned.
In January 2018 I decided to take my health into my own hands. I decided to start with my nutrition since that part of things has always been my weak point. I March of 2018 I signed up for a gym and hired a personal trainer. I regained a good amount of strength and fitness. I was on a good path and then the pandemic hit which caused my gym to close.
I signed up for Daily Burn and Beach Body on Demand to reduce my anxiety to and to ensure that I didn't lose the progress that I had gained. I've completed 5 programs and am now starting 2 more this week.
